Feet

Over the Easter weekend I made some feet out of MDF. They will do for now but will hopefully be replaced at some stage with pvc ones from A&A

Spinning Around

I have now connected the dome, Rockler bearing and the Atomic Pickle drive motor so now R2's head can spin....



It is only using a 9v battery in this test but spins at a decent speed

UK Robot Day

Today I took my droid down to the UK Robot Day organised by Steve Cole of Articole Studios.
It was good to meet up with fellow robot builders and seeing their robots including R2 units, K-9s, Daleks,Bender and a bar tender robot!

As you can see here it was a bit of a squeeze getting my R2 into the Z

My Birthday!! Coin Returns and Side Vents

I have now installed the side vents, pocketed side vents and the new coin returns into the skins
Here's hoping I can get the feet and skirts done in time for Celebration Europe.

I have been working on this C3PO head over the last few days

Clone Trooper Helmet

I thought I'd take a break from R2 over the next month whilst the World Cup is on so I've got a mini project of building an Episode III Clone Trooper helmet. Thanks to Rick from the UKG for sending me this......here you can see the first coat of primer
