After messing around with various mp3 players and speakers I decided to go with the Hyperdyne Labs sound board with IR motion detection
I have installed it into the body just behind the vents

Balls!!!

I finally got hold of some omniballs for my feet from outwaterplastics
The large centre foot one needed a bit of doctoring so that it connected properly to the A&A parts but now my R2 moves around a lot more freely and securely

Celebration Europe - Excel July 13th-15th 2007
